Materials

Heavy Card Stock
X-Acto Knife
Ruler
Corner Punch Tool
Sparklers
Glassine Bags

Instructions

1. Print pattern / image onto a heavy weight card stock (this helps keep the sparklers flat).

2. Trim each one out using an x-acto knife and ruler. Cut out small rectangles for the sparklers to slide through. Round the edges with a corner punch tool.

3. Weave sparklers through holes.

4. Slide card into glassine bag for a polished look.

I think this is the style I want my fiance and his groomsmen to wear. I love that its brown and not black or navy.. I also love that the groomsmen dont wear jackets!

I think the only thing I’d change is that the groomsmen would wear bowties.

What I have noticed so far on my journy to finding wedding items is that if you look for your items in non-wedding stores they are less expensive.

Things such as shoes, bags, jewelry are much cheaper if you find them in the right colours at non-bridal stores such as old navy, the gap and online.

do this with any item possible. Really think hard if its possible for you to get that item at a non-bridal store… cause if you can chances are it will be less expensive!

From what I’ve found, stores think they can mark up regular items quite a lot because they call them bridal and brides tend to feel like its wedding stuff and its all going to be expensive… so if you go to a non-bridal store that markup isnt there and you can get the item regular price or even discount!

Just be sure to shop around. We have the wonderful wide world of internet which makes everything a million times earlier.

I found a picture on Birdes.com of a dress and poorly edited it to look like the dress that I designed so I could get a more realistic idea of how it would look on a person. Its definitely interesting.

The veil is a crown of flowers identical to the one Audrey hepburn wore for her wedding in Europe. The veil will be detatchable so i can wear the crown still but take off the veil during the reception.

My hair will be in a nice ponytail and I will be wearing ballet flats with it. and the dress will be ivory and made of taffeta and organza

I think Ive picked out our Champagne flutes! I saw these in a display at the ‘Things remembered’ store in the mall. They are actually very very pretty in real life and look quite classy and simple without being boring. Theyre VERY HEAVY lol but it just means theyre more durable and made of quality material.

I have different taste as far as the typical bridal salon is concerned. Some of the dresses i think are gorgeous but simply arent me. So I set out to find a place that I could have my dream wedding dress professionally made…and within budget.

I found Custom Couture. They have lots of possibilities. They will make your dress custom, you you can choose from a variety of dresses on the site, you can also mix and match peices and elements from other dresses to create a super dress! They will even draw you a fashion sketch of your design at a small extra fee. I personally just want a completely custom dress. I have my sketch and I showed it to them, letting them know the size and the fabric I would like and my quote was only 799! That included shipping. That is an excellent deal.

I decided to order some sample swatches to take a look at their fabric to see what i wanted. The samples are $5 per fabric but you get it in all of the colours. However they were out of taffeta and I didnt see organza on the list! So I emailed them to inquire about it and I got an email back in 20 minutes! They have always been very fast to answer my questions. Never taking longer than 24 hours to reply. It turns out they were busy and only out of the samples but not of the fabric, and that they would also be more than happy to include the organza with it! Ontop of that they said they would send it to me FREE! I gave them my address and now im simply waiting to see.

OVERAL SO FAR their customer service is wonderful and the emails are warm and personal. You get the feeling of deffinite professionalism but without the cold empty lifeless feeling. Theyre professional AND they care and are very kind and make you feel very special. Theres no doubt that I will be purchacing my gown from them.

and to anyone who wants a little something special I deffinitely recommend them!
