unique and cute proposal story
Told through the eyes of a helpful photographer. Its super cute!
“Daniel and I share an amazing client named Emilie. She has worked with us both a number of times, for everything from glamour photography, to grad pics, and commercial work for a snowboard clothing company. Daniel and I both have come to know her very well and consider her a good friend. So when I got a call from her boyfriend, Jaime, 3 months ago I was more then intrigued.
And after a number of phone calls discussing our very careful laid plan………
And a reschedule due to an unknown wedding……
And a reschedule due to a broken down car……
The day had come for our plan to take action!
You see, Jaime had asked me if I would call Emilie and set up a “mock” photo shoot with her. I was to call Emilie and tell her that I had a client who owned a local jewelry store that had hired me to take some promotional pictures for her store and of course I would need a lovely model to be wearing the jewelry.
I gathered together all the jewelry I have with glitz and glam for Emilie to wear, little did she know as she was putting on a faux-diamond chocker, earrings, and bracelets that Jaime was just down the hall, not working the weekend in Corvallis like she thought. He was
putting on a tux and gathering his nerve.
After a few photos I gave him the queue, saying to Emilie “You know I really wish we had a ring to go with this” after which I posed her facing down and away and told her to close her eyes.
“Now open your eyes and turn toward me,” I said.
No sooner did she do so, then she saw Jaime, the amazing love of her life for 4 years, on bended knee, in a tux, with ring and asking “Amelia, will you marry me?”
Of course the answer was “YES!”
I cannot describe how amazing I felt to be a part of this moment and to be able to capture it in photos that the two of them will always remember. My clients truly become my friends. So these moments in their lives, that they choose to share with me, and in turn with all of you, truly touch my heart. I believe in finding and expressing the moment, as it comes, as it was, and as it will be.”
